A new Pokémon Sword and Shield trailer was played during the September 5 Nintendo Direct, showing off some new Pokémon as well as new minigames, trainer cards and clothing options.
A new Pokémon announced, Cramorant, is based off the cormorant, an English diving bird. This Pokémon is a Water/Flying with the ability Gulp Missile, where it picks up a fish Pokémon while using a water move, such as surf, and then spits it out at the opponent if hit with a physical attack, causing damage.
The other new Pokémon announced is Polteageist, a non-singing ghost type creature. Its ability, Weak Armor powers up its speed during battle. This tea creature apparently lets trailers it trusts taste its tea flavour, would you drink a Pokémon?
Speaking of drink, you’ll be able to make curry at the new Camp feature. This cooking minigame lets you make over 100 types of curry – filling out a curry dex! Much like Breath of the Wild, you can collect the ingredients to make the best Curry and Rice dish.
Also shown off in the trailer was a slew of customisable options from your trainers hair to a calling card used for battles. All this and more was shown off in the trailer that was jam-packed full of Pokémon news!
