The long-awaited latest addition to the Sakura Wars franchise is getting the star treatment: not only an anime adaptation, but a stage show, too!
Project Sakura Wars: The Stage will premiere in 2020, bringing to life the latest phase of the theatrical/robot/steampunk/action franchise. Taking on the role of new heroine Sakura Amamiya is Yuna Sekine. Sekine is a former leader of idol group Cheeky Parade, which disbanded last year.
No further cast has been announced yet.
The show is set to go up sometime next year.
